I’m now very, very convinced that I’m a masochist due to the fact that my sweaty-self seems to enjoy blogging during painfully hot days… but why do I find myself loving this overly peaceful, yet totally satisfying, anime?
First thing that captured my interest? The animation. The character movements aren’t exactly fluid, but the animation is very stylistic and reminds me of a lot of great visuals from my favorite anime movies. Yes, I also thought the photographic backgrounds were stylistic. Some of you may say it clashes with the hand-drawn, simplistic characters. I say it’s stylist, blending into the scenery pretty nicely. Deal with it.
(Really reminds me of 5 Centimeters Per Second, really.)
Second thing that captured my interest? Sora. She seems like a very likable main protagonist, no? That’s always a good thing, for me.
Last thing that captured my interests? The music. The opening and endings themes are very calm and soothing, as is the background music. It strikes you with a very positive feeling.
Mahō Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto: Natsu no Sora seems like a very strong series to restart my episode-by-episode blogging! (; Seems like one of the better series introduced this season, and will definitely be considered a masterpiece by me… If done right, that is.
Short post, I realize that. But only because this is the first episode.… and I have nothing else to say, except for first impressions, no? Five more episodes until I catch up… and counting.
